Malin Kundang
Once upon a time, in West Sumatra, there was a poor widow and her only son. Her son was Malin Kundang. When the son was adult, he wanted to work for a rich merchant. Therefore, the son must leave her mother to sail with the merchant.
Malin Kundang was very successful and became rich. The merchant let Malin Kundang married his daughter. After that, Malin and his wife lived happily, so he forgot about his poor mother and his village.
One day, Malin Kundang was came back to his old village after years. The villagers respected Malin Kundang as a rich merchant that came to them. But, a poor old woman remembered him very clearly, because she was the mother of Malin Kundang.

Malin Kundang also remembered his mother. But, he was too embarrassed to admit that the old woman was his mother. Instead, Malin Kundang hurted his mother feeling by saying: "I don't know you and I don't have a poor old mother like you!"
After that, a heavy storm was suddenly happened as if it was a God punishment to Malin Kundang. Slowly, Malin Kundang was turned into a stone. He regretted what he had done to his poor mother. But, it was too late. 6. Where did the story happen?
