Past perfect continuous tense adalah salah satu jenis tenses dalam Bahasa Inggris.
Past perfect continuous tense menerangkan aksi yang telah selesai pada suatu titik di masa lalu.
Past perfect continuous tense digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu kejadian yang telah dimulai dan berlangsung di masa lalu, namun saat ini sudah tak terjadi lagi.
Berikut ini adalah contoh-contoh kalimat past perfect continuous tense:
A. Kalimat Positif
Rumus past perfect continuous kalimat positif adalah Subject + had + been + V1-ing/present participle
Contoh kalimat:
- He had been drinking milk out the carton when Mom walked into the kitchen.

- Martha had been walking three miles a day before she broke her leg.
