Answer: The main agenda was to increase the awareness of waste management for economic and environmental benefits.
2. What was probably the main reason for holding the conference?
Answer: The main reason was probably that there were waste management problems in the participants’ countries and the participants wanted to learn how to solve that from Surabaya.
3. Why was Surabaya selected to be the conference venue?
Answer: Surabaya was selected to be the conference venue because it has successful waste management.

Surabaya became the conference host because of its success in managing municipal waste through the 3Rs program.
