Bobo.id - Salah satu bentuk tense yang kita pelajari di materi grammar adalah Present Perfect Tense.
Present Perfect Tense adalah bentuk tenses dalam bahasa Inggris yang digunakan untuk menjelaskan aktivitas atau peristiwa yang dimulai di masa lalu dan masih berlanjut sampai sekarang.
Ini biasanya dinyatakan dengan kata kerja yang berakhir dengan "-ed" atau "-ing" dan frasa "have/has been".
Contoh:
- I have been studying English for two years. (Saya belajar bahasa Inggris selama dua tahun)
- She has been working at the company for five years. (Dia bekerja di perusahaan selama lima tahun)
Rumus dasar Present Perfect Tense adalah sebagai berikut:
Subject + has/have + past participle verb + object
Untuk subjek "I" dan "You", kita menggunakan kata "have". Sedangkan untuk subjek "He", "She", "It", dan "They", kita menggunakan kata "has".
Past participle verb adalah bentuk kedua dari kata kerja, biasanya dibentuk dengan menambahkan "-ed" pada kata kerja reguler atau membutuhkan bentuk khusus untuk kata kerja tidak beraturan.
Contoh:
- regular verb: play - played
- irregular verb: eat - eaten

- I have eaten breakfast.
- You have seen that movie.
- He has read that book.
- She has finished her work.
- It has rained for three days.
- They have visited that museum.
- Disa has cleaned her room for 2 hours.
- My cat has searched a mouse around the house.
- Lita and I have bought a new pair of shoes for Andini's birthday gift.
- My brother and my dad have gone to the fishing pond.

b. Kalimat negatif
- Leta has not opened my gift.
- I have not done my homework yet.
- My mother has not cooked anything for dinner.
- It has not rained for several days yet.
- My friend has not called me at all.
- Uncle and Aunty have not visited us at all in this month.
- They have not heard the news yet.
- Jessica and Anna have not eaten their breakfast yet.
- My brother has not washed his dirty school uniform.
- Natasya has not tried to talk with Emma again.
