Bobo.id - Narrative text adalah jenis teks yang bercerita mengenai rangkaian peristiwa secara kronologis serta saling terhubung.
Narrative text pada umumnya adalah berupa cerita karangan yang memiliki tujuan untuk menghibur pembaca.
Struktur narrative text adalah:
1. Orientation, yang berisi mengenai perkenalan tokoh dan latar.
2. Complication, yang mengenai awal mula peristiwa atau kejadian. Awal mula peristiwa tersebut menjadi rentetan alur cerita yang kemudian berlanjut pada konflik, klimaks, serta anti klimaks.
3. Resolution, merupakan bagian akhir cerita yang umumnya berisi penyelesaian konfliks.

There once lived a poor farmer named Toba in one village of North Sumatera. One day, he went fishing. Luckily, he got a beautiful goldfish. He carried it home then planned to cook it. When he got home, the fish turned into a beautiful woman.

One day, the mother asked Samosir to bring lunch to his father who worked in the rice field. On the way to rice field, he stopped and ate most of his father's lunch.
