Future perfect tense adalah salah satu jenis tenses dalam Bahasa Inggris yang harus teman-teman ketahui. Future perfect tense adalah tenses untuk menyatakan suatu peristiwa atau menyatakan hal yang diprediksi akan sudah terjadi atau selesai di masa depan.

Jadi, pada saat dibicarakan, ada sebuah aksi yang belum selesai atau belum terjadi sama sekali. Future perfect tense menyatakan suatu tindakan yang akan diselesaikan antara sekarang dan beberapa titik di masa depan.

Ada dua tipe kalimat secara umum, yaitu kalimat nominal dan kalimat verbal. Perbedaan kalimat nominal dan kalimat verbal adalah: kalimat nominal tidak mengandung kata kerja, sedangkan kalimat verbal mengandung kata kerja.

Contoh Kalimat Future Perfect Tense

A. Kalimat positif:

Nominal: Subject + will/shall + have + been + complement
Verbal: Subject + will/shall + have + verb 3 + complement

Contoh kalimat:

- She will have jogged two miles before reaching the post office.

- Hopefully, I will have won the championship by the next time we speak.

- I am pretty sure this meat will have spoiled by the time the cookout starts.

- The workers will have finished all the repairs when we return from our vacation.

B. Kalimat negatif:

Nominal: Subject + will/shall + not + have + been + complement
Verbal: Subject + will/shall + not + have + verb 3 + complement

- I will not have graduated next May.

C. Kalimat tanya:

Nominal: Will/shall + subject + have + been + complement
Verbal: Will/shall + subject + have + verb 3 + complement
